Here's the catch up for May and June

Well we had our holidays in May so we missed most of it here in the UK. Dominican Republic was amazing and we had a great time.

Late last year we had noticed that the park adjacent to the North Penlan Community centre was in an awful state and needed a complete refurbishment. So as part of our community engagement initiative we spoke to the local children and their parents as to what they wanted from their park. Once this was done , we teamed up with the highly committed members of the North Penlan community centre (of which there are only two, and I cannot praise them enough) to engage with Swansea Council representatives from every level, and arranged a meeting of the heads of council, parks, grounds and communities. Once on site we had raised funding to renew the park of £46,000. We then met with the park designer to try and include as much inclusive play items as possible for the local children with additional needs and to give the feedback of the local children.

Well, we are so happy to say the park has now been finished, and most of what we asked for has been delivered. The park has been split in two areas to include special access and equipment for children with additional needs. We are so grateful to Rob Stewart and his team for delivering this. I am so happy to report that the feedback has been amazing with both the children and parents.

We are also continuing our support of local schools with Clwyd Primary School in their after school clubs and sports days, in addition we are also gained two additional schools with Tre Uchaf Primary and Penclawdd Primary.

This is something close to our hearts and are doing so for a cost price only. We feel that the next generation should have the opportunity to experience dance and fitness outside of the regular PE lessons to show that fitness can be fun and what better way than Zumba® Kids.

So if you are a teacher or would be interested in having us in your child's school or have another community event you are involved in please drop us a message.

Ladies Only class

Kim has also launched her Ladies Only class at the beautiful Patty Pavilion on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. We had done this as a request from the religious community, to support those ladies who cannot exercise in front of men.

The response has been great, and for us, providing a class like this to further support different parts of our community here in Swansea is what we are all about.

The windows and doors are covered to ensure privacy and you can expect the same crazy fitness class as our regular classes. Book now via the website or app, or pay at the door.

special 90 minute class

We have introduced a special 90 minute class at the New Lodge Social club this month and due to the success and feedback from the event we have decided to make this a monthly event. So we shall be running these session on the last Monday of every month. These are again going to be held at The New Lodge in Gorseignon.

The sessions are a chance to push yourself a little further and challenge your endurance and show yourself how much you can do.

As always we look forward to a seeing you at the sessions and remember to bring your friends and family for this once a month fitness experience.
